Questions, answered

The practical details behind formats, privacy, availability, and responsible use.

01

Which links can I use?

Use the URL of an individual, publicly accessible media item. Support follows the extractors available in the installed yt-dlp version.

02

Why are some qualities merged?

Many sources deliver high-resolution video and audio as separate streams. SaveFromNet uses FFmpeg to merge compatible streams without re-encoding whenever possible.

03

Does MP3 320 kbps improve the source?

No. Converting to a higher bitrate does not restore detail missing from the original audio; it only controls the output encoding.

04

How long are files stored?

Files are temporary and normally expire 30 minutes after completion. The operator can change this retention period.

05

Why did my link fail?

The media may be private, removed, protected, too large, too long, temporarily unavailable, or no longer compatible with the current extractor.

06

Do I need an account?

No account, email address, or phone number is required.
